Chau was first introduced to CrossFit after having her first baby about 1 year ago while looking for an outlet of everyday rigors in the shortest amount of time possible. As a long time Bikram yoga practitioner, she soon found that with a new baby, 90 minutes of class in addition to travel time was no longer feasible. With CrossFit, she could easily fit in a one-hour class into her new life and achieve the same amount of work and satisfaction. With a B.S. in Biology & Sociology followed by a Master's in Healthcare Administration, Chau's education has been heavily focused on health and science in many different aspects. Coming from a health/science education and work background for the last decade, CrossFit as a career was the perfect fit and a dream come true. "For the last 10 years I was working on the other end of the health spectrum, the sick end. Patients only got temporarily better but never quite completely cured. When I started CrossFit, it occurred to me that this phenomenon of caveman eating coupled with constantly varied, functional movements could change one's life and completely reverse the damage and false mantras of fitness. I witnessed it firsthand in my life as well as my husband's life, we have never been healthier or more fit even when we were in the prime of our youth!"

Chau works hard everyday to expand and share her knowledge and skills of nutrition and CrossFit to make CrossFit Armada a strong community based box. "I am so excited to be given such a gracious opportunity to forever change lives in ways people do not even know possible!"

Nilou Sadri Nilou comes to us from Cupertino, California. She moved to Houston 4 years ago and has been involved in CrossFit ever since. She grew up playing a wide variety of sports from competitive soccer and swimming to running track and tennis. She is a Registered Nurse with 14 years experience under her belt currently working with spine and orthopedic surgical patients in the prestigious Houston Medical Center. She wanted to find a way to have an intense workout everyday in the shortest amount of time due to her busy work schedule. She dropped in her local box with a girlfriend and never turned back. "My favorite thing about CrossFit are the constantly varied workouts that can range from 1 minute to over 30 minutes, I am constantly challenged no matter what the workout is, and once I started seeing results I was hooked. The camaraderie is unlike anything I have ever experienced, often times it is not the first person who finishes a WOD who gets the loudest cheers from the crowd but the last person who does...it's about finishing and giving it your best that counts."

Nilou brings a high level of enthusiasm and excitement to our box and she is focused heavily on helping our athletes achieve things they never thought they could do. "There is something magical about helping an athlete get their first pull-up, their first handstand push-up, or their first RX WOD. The body is an amazing machine and I love being a part of that "ah ha!!" moment for my athletes. I'm so thankful to have an opportunity to be active in my community and promote health and fitness no matter what level athlete you are. Bigger and better, onward and upward...come join us. Lets sweat!!"

Favorite movements: Handstand push-ups, Pull-ups, Toes-to-bar, Rope climbs, and Overhead squats
